Yes the power of connection! people want to be listen too. Listening with care and affection is one of the most empowering tools gift we can give another. At the same time not buying into the persons drama and staying in the here and now. Today what better choices can we make to get close to the people we want and need in our life,is the here and now!

A friend of mine has Tourette's. We try to meet for coffee about once a week. Back in january at one of our meetings, he was having a lot of "ticks". Way more than I have normally seen him have. I remembered your article, this one, that I had read about a mouth before. I just started to ask him questions about his Tourette's, what was going on in his life and so forth. After about 15 minutes his "ticks" were almost gone! I was just asking questions with love, without judgement. And the big question I have is, did he notice. We haven't talked about his Tourette's since.

Thanks for helping me, help myself. John.
