What you say is fine – end conflict in yourself and that is great. But if you were really serious about ending conflict, why wouldn’t Human Potential Plus concentrate on the Middle East or Africa, where they strap bombs on children and send them to kill people? They’re the sick bastards that need the help. Why the hell doesn’t someone do something about that?

Sir, war is never a means to peace. Violence is never a means to ending conflict. The fact that we strap bombs on children, well, the rest of the world has been doing the same thing to our children. We take our young men and make them into soldiers, and rob them of the prime of their lives. Hitler too sir wanted the first five years to make good Nazis.

Today in the Middle East, where they strap bombs on even younger children, this is an example of humankind going below the level of animals. They are very sophisticated belief patterns mixed with instinct that produce such sub-human beings that thrive on hatred and pure self-interest. When are natural instinct become entangled with thought to form belief systems who get people killing in the name of Ali, Krishna, Jesus etc.
The Christians by the way have been one of the greatest killers, from the Crusades to the World Wars, not to mention the persecution of women through out the ages.

The problem I believe is what is running through are own hearts. We are the fanatics if we are Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist , Canadian, American , Russian. These are just imposed viewpoints created by thought because people could not deal with the central facts in living their life. Some of these facts we avoid are:

-no one can make you think or feel anything
- only you know what is best for you
-when your unhappy it is yourself you must look at and not try to change the other
-everything you have identified yourself with is not who you are or what you are; it is the conditioning you bought into because you’re afraid to be nothing

So we make up all this ideology to keep ourselves amused because we are afraid of life and therefore afraid of death. Why?
-because we have a belief system and we believe it is the right one for everyone and they should just see it my way then I would be happy and live in peace.
-because of this arrogant belief system I know how everybody should live their life.

Can you give me one example of when you imposed your belief system on another and this opened the door to friendship and love?

Tell me one suicide bomb that has helped build love, friendship and caring.

We will not change our mental state and practice a new psychology of love until we stop trying to avoid our stupidity. What stupefies the brain is thinking as a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu, an American, a Canadian or your own special religious nationalistic path.

We are one planet, one people, and one consciousness. If we all ended our stupidity there would be no need for war. We would start addressing the problems of environment and relationship to the earth and to each other. As long as I remain involved in my petty belief I am the person who straps the child with the bomb. Everyday I must face my lack of relationship to the earth, people and things around me. I must free my mind from all that, rather than pointing the finger. But finger pointing is much more entertaining.
